Whether you're coming in for routine maintenance care or experiencing a specific injury, we offer treatment services that cater to a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions of both the upper and lower limb.

Joint Manipulation or Spinal Manipulative Technique (SMT) is a manual technique used by Chiropractors to help:

  • Reduce joint stiffness
  • Reduce pain
  • Reduce muscular tone
  • Improve overall joint mobility and function

One of the most commonly utilised manual therapy techniques, joint manipulation is applied through a high velocity, low amplitude thrust to a specific joint.

Joint manipulation, in conjunction with other manual techniques, may help alleviate:

  • Low Back Pain (disc injuries)
  • Facet Mediated Joint Pain
  • Sacro-iliac Joint (SIJ) Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Headaches
  • Peripheral Joint Pain (Shoulder, Hip, Knee, Ankle and Wrist Pain)

Soft Tissue Therapy is targeted at muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and connective tissue. This manual technique is aimed at:

  • Reducing muscular tone (spasm or overactive muscles)
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Improving muscle length and flexibility
  • Improving blood circulation and promote faster tissue healing

Soft Tissue Therapy goes beyond just a massage. Through specifically targeted structures, Soft Tissue Therapy in conjunction with other manual techniques, may help alleviate:

  • Muscular Strains
  • Joint Sprains
  • Lower Back Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Repetitive Injuries (Tennis Elbow, Tendinitis)
  • Headaches (Postural)

Dry Needling is the use of Acupuncture-like sterile needles targeted at trigger points within a muscle.

Myofascial Trigger Points (MTrPs) are muscle fibers that have become hypersensitive due to injuries, compensatory movements, overuse or joint dysfunctions. These Trigger Points can result in localised pain, referred pain, poor muscular activation and poor joint movement patterns.

Dry Needling technique focuses specifically at these Trigger Points to help:

  • Reduce pain
  • Reduce muscular tension
  • Improve muscular length
  • Increase blood circulation and promote faster tissue healing

In conjunction with other manual techniques, Dry Needling is a great tool that may help alleviate:

  • Neck Pain, Lower Back Pain
  • Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder)
  • Nerve Injuries or Entrapments (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)
  • Cervicogenic / Tension-Type Headaches
  • Tendinitis (Tennis Elbow, Golfer’s Elbow, Jumper’s Knee)
  • Temporomandibular Joint Pain (TMJ / Jaw Pain)
  • Shoulder Pain (Rotator Cuff Injuries)
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Degenerative Joint Arthritis

Exercise Rehabilitation is an essential component to all recovery processes and is one of the primary tools used at Promovement Chiropractic.

Cupping Therapy involves the use of medical cups to create a suction at the surface of the targeted muscle. The suction created aims to draw blood flow to the area as a natural response to help promote muscular relaxation and tissue healing through the increase of tissue oxygenation.

In conjunction with other manual techniques, Cupping Therapy is a great alternative technique to help:

  • Reduce muscular tension
  • Improve mobility and flexibility
  • Promote natural tissue healing response
